why Bitcoin
Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency—created in response to the 2009 financial crisis - an open source protocol - simple, secure, and free from control by any person or group.
Bitcoin is unlike any other cryptocurrency—it can’t be rug-pulled because it has no founders. It’s truly decentralized, run by thousands of independent miners, nodes, and users—not any single person or group.
It began as a white paper by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto, building on decades of cypherpunk efforts to create a money system that doesn’t rely on banks or governments. That vision became reality. Today, Bitcoin is the largest cryptocurrency and the 6th-largest asset in the world—behind only tech giants and gold—valued at over $2 trillion as of May 2025.
What drew us in are Bitcoin’s first principles and how it actually works. That’s why we’re building this grassroots Bitcoin community here in India—together with plebs around the world. :)
